逍遙一日遊 – Zen Oasis & Berrima
趁著學校放假期間與中文學校的家長將近有40位大小朋友們浩浩蕩蕩地相約至
Zen-Oasis 素食餐廳品嚐不一樣風味的素食料理, 同時參觀 1830年的古鎮 –
Berrima......
從 Sydney 開至 Berrima 僅短短一個半小時車程,沿途天高雲淡, 風清氣爽, 放眼望
去盡是恬靜秀麗,綠草如茵的田園景象. 初至 Zen –Oasis 餐廳外之庭園就感受到
一股祥和的禪意, 空曠無邊的草地連結到寧靜的湖面,隨風吹起陣陣漣漪,悠悠蕩
蕩,怡然舒暢.
行腳處亦見白石磊磊堆砌的圖樣與紅花綠草相映成趣,頗有天地人太極和諧之氛
圍.進入餐廳後感受其裝潢溫馨古樸別具鄉村風味, 美妙的鋼琴樂曲馬上舒緩了
我們敏感的聽覺,心情也隨之輕鬆起來,那可口美味但形似葷菜的素食. 風味十足
令人印象深刻, 能與家人好友一邊用餐, 一邊聆聽曼妙琴音,感覺愉快又開懷.
用餐完畢後一行人繼續轉戰至 Barrima參訪. 由於Barrima 是百年古鎮,因此能欣
賞到許多高俊挺拔的蒼松古柏圍繞路旁,看著寒梅秀桃喜展花顏,別緻的小鎮建
築 ,博物館,亦散發出思古之幽情, 特別一提的是當地頗具地方特色的 Art & Craft
Shop,精緻美麗的手工藝品, 個個看了愛不釋手, 逛累了亦可享受當地香醇 Coffee
小憩一下,在與朋友閒話家常之時,傭懶的午後陽光也悄悄地揮灑在你我臉龐,享
受著身心遠離塵囂,拋開煩憂的快意時光, 不也是人生一大樂事.

Zen Oasis - An Oasis of Harmony
Zen Oasis is situated on the fringe of the beautiful historic village of Berrima.The rustic building, sitting on one hundred acres in the Southern Highlands, was erected in 1948 and is renowned as the Woolshed Restaurant of the Parmenter's family for nearly three decades. It now proudly houses the Zen Oasis Vegetarian Restaurant.
The restaurant is quietly tucked away and peacefully blended into ambient surroundings, yet one will find Zen Oasis to be serenely distinctive to the region. It artfully mixes the beauty of oriental ways into the local historic charm.
Berrima
Berrima is the much loved small colonial town which is a living example of early colonial architecture dating back to the 1830's.
Built around the idea of an "English Village Common" Berrima today captivates all who visit. Here you will find many businesses housed in superb colonial architecture that are a pleasure to pursue.
Craft shops, antiques, galleries, nurseries, produce stores, eateries, restaurants, coffee shops and much, much more ensure that Berrima is a "must-see" destination for all the family.
