樂活讀書會邀您走出戶外到一個近郊不遠的好去處 ”Cumberland State Forest Park “ 一起享受自然, 親近綠意 , 踏青野餐 , 閒情賞書, 與友共鳴 ,齊樂陶哉 ^--^

集合時間: 26th of Feb Sunday at 10:00am (PS.如遇下雨活動取消..時間另行通知)

Cumberland State Forest: is a 40 hectare (100 acre) area of bush land situated in the West Pennant Hills area, a suburb of north western Sydney.
The State Forest was established in 1939. Prior to its dedication the area had been cleared for agriculture in 1908. A third of the area was planted as an arboretum and the remainder regenerated naturally. This created the only metropolitan State Forest in Australia.
The Forest has a number of walking trails.
The Forestry Trail meanders through tall eucalypts.
Moist rainforest may be explored along the Palm Gully Trail.
The Sensory Trail is a stroller and wheelchair-friendly walk.
Wildlife is prolific with 60 birds species recorded nesting in the Forest.
There are four restful picnic areas. Three of these have barbeques. An interesting information centre, large nursery (see image) and café are all part of the Cumberland State Forest experience.
